Melina Sedó (born 1966 in London, UK) is a German author, translator, and game designer with a long history in the German role-playing game community. She began publishing RPG material in the late 1990s, offering long running Ars Magica and Vampire campaigns, organising conventions and contributing articles to the Chainsaw Hobbit and a multi-part scenario to Fantastic Adventure. During this period she also worked as a translator for Mario Truant Verlag, where she produced the German editions of Ars Magica IV and Heckenzauberei, helping introduce the line to a broader German-speaking audience.
Over the years she has developed a distinctive approach to world-building that blends historical research with imaginative narrative design. Since then, she has expanded her portfolio with original RPG concepts, system-agnostic setting work, and scenarios that focus on clarity, tone, and thematic depth.
For Vortex Verlag, Melina acts as author and artistic director of our Magical Renaissance line and as kickstarter manager of the publishing house.
Outside the RPG field, she is also active as a tango teacher, director of therapeutic dance and psychologist. More about Melina here.
